A <scp>QFD</scp>‐based approach for the development of smart <scp>product‐service</scp> systems

The paper proposes a novel method for the development of smart product-service systems (Smart-PSSs) by focusing on analysis customer requirements and selection those features that can practically enhance capabilities offering. To achieve such goal, quality function deployment (QFD) based is presented to specifically address Smart-PSS solutions. approach, named smart-product service (QFD Smart-PSS), relies characteristics components besides conventional product features. Such an approach allows better granularity assessment system well defining in PSS. preliminarily verify applicability method, case study concerning solution elevators building proposed. results achieved show potential benefits proposed have both solutions when existing has be augmented. at initial stage while this augment knowledge Smart-PSS, further research work needed extend its validation.
